Statement to voters

I am standing as your local candidate for East Lindsey District Council in the by-election taking place in Croft Ward on 24th October.

Full statement

I wish to represent my local area of Croft Ward (Croft, Bratoft, Irby in the Marsh. Thorpe St Peter, Firsby and the Steeping's) and hope to become your new District Councillor following the sad loss of ClIr Sid Dennis. who not only was a great Local Councillor but also a very dear friend to me who I worked closely with over many years.

I have lived in the village of Croft for the last 16 years. I am happily married to Sophie and have three lovely children. I am also proud to be the vice-chair of Croft Parish Council and have recently joined Wainfleet All Saints Town Council solely to help with local issues. I am keen to organise local events to help bring prosperity and a sense of community to our local area, and being the co-organiser of the very successful Wainfleet Motorcycle Meet for the second successful year. I am also pleased to be a co-organiser and treasurer for the Wainfleet Weekend Revival event, working alongside another great friend and local County Councillor. Wendy Bowkett.

I am proud of the work local Conservatives at East Lindsey District Council have done for our local area, with new education and employment opportunities being delivered such as the TEC college now being built on Wainfleet Road. They have kept their Council Tax among the lowest in the country, and are a team I very much want to be a part of.

Together we must make sure that local planning reflects the needs and concerns of our communities, to ensure that local grant funding reaches to where it is needed most, and to fight to protect our rural landscape from pylons. solar panels, and the industrialisation of our countryside.
