Statement to voters
I live in Paddock Wood and am passionate about the community and economy.
Full statement
I am keen for the area to thrive and receive substantial infrastructure investment particularly given all the development that Paddock Wood has seen over recent years.
Professionally, I work as an architect, so I understand the importance of good quality housing as well as protecting our Green Belt. Paddock Wood is a great place to live, work and shop, and we must invest in our community. Being local and raising a young family in the area, I am well aware of the pressures people face. I am focused on local issues that matter to local people such as parking, schools, health, community facilities and the local economy. As a local councillor, I will work to ensure that I represent local views that really matter to local people.
These views are:
- Bring back two hours of free parking to Council car parks
- Oppose the likely sale and re-development of The Wesley Centre
- Priorities infrastructure before development
Best wishes,
Nicolas Maari
