I’m an Australian of Irish descent.
Full statement
I moved to Broadstairs in 2016. I am currently working as a primary school teacher in an inner London borough. I have taught in maintained Primary schools in Thanet, Canterbury, Hackney and Tower Hamlets. I’ve managed nursery schools in London and Sydney, Australia, written and taught accredited Advanced Diploma courses as well as working as a fruit picker, musician and graphic artist. I am co coordinator of Thanet Friends of the Earth and a spokesperson for Surfers Against Sewage and Plastic Free Schools.
As a Green Party councillor, I will work to ensure that Kent County Council protects and supports our maintained schools, particularly children with special educational needs and disabilities attending Kent schools. I will listen to local residents and do my best to bring your concerns to council. The Green Party will work to maintain our libraries and our parks, Thanet needs representatives on Kent County Council who will speak up for youth clubs such as The Pie Factory. The Green Party believes that county councils must invest in our children so that they have real opportunities to be happy in our society.
