Cllr Jane Mordue is an experienced non-executive director in the health and voluntary sectors and now assesses company directors' leadership skills for the Institute of Directors.

She has campaigned nationally for rural communities including affordable transport, such as the flat rate bus fare, and social housing, to keep a viable rate for Local Housing Allowance. She is passionate about keeping the great community spirit in Buckingham and the surrounding countryside. She supports local work on flood resilience, and for neurodivergent youngsters, including access to special educational needs. She has been the chair, or secretary, of several local community groups, including Friends of the University of Buckingham and Rotary. She launched Buckingham Twinning Association at the request of Buckingham Town Council and still actively supports this and other local charities.
