Shelley Rider's policies
Statement to voters
If elected I will help to get Gloucestershire moving again with increased funding from a Labour government I'm determined to sort out the massive pothole backlog, and support the reversing of cuts to bus services.
Full statement
I will support efforts to boost the local economy by using Council purchasing power to support local business and the employment of local labour.
In the many years of Conservative control young people have suffered more than most. A strong Labour voice at Shire Hall will see the reintroduction of Youth Work Services and see the roll of out of breakfast clubs to help working parents.
As an Electric Vehicle user myself I want to help develop and extend our woefully lacking EV changing infrastructure throughout the town.
And I want to continue my Labour colleagues work on supporting the Community Hubs in and across Stroud and reinstate funding lost to them by the previous Conservative administration.
