Statement to voters
I’m Liz, your Labour candidate for the Exeter City Council election on 2nd May.
Full statement
I work in the city centre and one of my daughters is at Exeter College. Transport and traffic is affecting most residents, as does the amenity of clean, green, safe streets.
I'm encouraging all residents to respond to Devon County Council’s Active Streets statutory consultation, as public feedback is the "key measure". Feedback ends 8 May. Make your voice count here Online https://tinyurl.com/exeterfeedback Email exeterstreets@devon.gov.uk Phone 0345 155 1004.
I'm launching a “Clean Safe City” engagement campaign to take on litter and fly-tipping.
I'm bringing the community together to protect our green spaces at ‘The Barn’ and Pendragon Road.
I'm pleased we're building higher energy efficient council homes at Whipton, and pushing for better bus services.
I am knocking on doors across the ward to hear your ideas about improving our local community. I’m pleased our local play-parks and food waste recycling service will soon be upgraded, with the new investment we're making in our Materials Processing Facility.
As your councillor, I will work hard for our streets to be clean, green, pleasant and safe, and for our community groups to be well supported.
