Barring a brief period of two Mayoral elections, in the Noughties, (2004-2010) Labour has seized control of our beloved town and allowed it to crumble into nothing more than car parks so they can attract business to redevelop the land and charge hefty business rate. These vunerable historical buildings need to be preserved not exposed to the elements and pidgeons only to be deemed a fire or health hazard and then knocked down. We need to preserve our heritage by protecting our grade listed buildings or there will be no old Doncaster left. Despite much needed carparking spaces During these transitions, we are left to cope with huge eyesores blotted around our town. Why shoud we pay for the privelidge of parkung if we work or shop in the town centre?

Hall gate is dead, as is the Waterdale albeit, Nigel Gressley Sq. All money coming in is being earmarked for future development and aquiring yet more brownbelt.

Labour keep promising funding for small business and start ups, but they will only invest in what they think is achievable. We need innovation. More leisure. The only profitable business are either barber shops and nail salons oh and cour public houses...WE ALL need those!

THIS YEAR, BOTH MAJOR PARTIES WILL BE STANDING ON A PLATFORM OF UNITY. EACH TAKING CREDIT FOR BRINGING THE THIRD SECTOR AND GRASSROOT SERVICES TOGETHER.

THE FACT IS NEITHER OF THEM ARE RESPONSIBLE, THE PANDEMIC HAS BROUGHT EVERYONE TOGETHER AND TAUGHT US THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED. THIER PLAN IS SIMPLE. GET THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR TO DO AS MUCH OF THE WORK AS POSSIBLE! FROM LITTER PICKERS TO COMMUNITY WARDENS, FOODBANKS TO FLOWER ARRANGERS AND UPSTARTS TO COMMUNITY PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES.

THEY THEN REWARD EACH COMMUNITY WITH A BONUS INCENTIVE AND PERHAPS SOME CONTROL OF THIER ALLOCATED BUDGET FOR THE AREA IT’S ALL THERE, IN EACH OF THIER MANIFESTOS. THAT IS IT! ALONG WITH THE ODD INCENTIVE FOR YOUTH TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT... WE ALL KNOW ABOUT ZERO HOURS AND TRIDENT, AND TOO MANY NEETS BUT AGAIN MORE EMPTY PROMISES ABOUT ABOLISGING ZERO HOUR CONTRACTS AND GENUINE JOBSEEKERS GETTING SANCTIONED. OH AND TACKLING FLY TIPPING BY INSTALLING CAMERAS. WHAT A FARCE.
