He will be working closely with myself and others in the Southport branch of Reform UK to ensure that residents’ concerns are listened to, and every possible step taken to advance and protect residents’ interests on the council and on the ground.

Our constituency encompasses parts of both Lancashire and Merseyside/Sefton. At Reform UK in Southport, we fully recognise and respect the distinctive quality and priorities of each area, as well as the distinctive quality and common interests of the constituency as a whole.

Countless residents have expressed to me the support they intend to show for Reform UK in Southport and the Northern Parishes at the next general election. This is reflected in recent polls that show that Reform is likely to beat Labour here, with the Tories and Lib Dems really out of the picture in the contest for the parliamentary seat.

To remove our deeply unloved Labour government and Labour MP, we at Reform UK Southport need residents’ consistent support from now until 2029, and beyond. It is easy to overlook local elections or to treat them as somehow separate from national politics. That is wrong. Success in general elections can be built upon success in local elections and a track record of serving residents on the ground.

So I urge you to go out to vote, even if you have never done so before, to help us to help you, by getting Mike elected as your Reform councillor in West Lancashire North.

Many have lost hope in politics. But I assure you that if we work together, making a break with the voting habits of the past, we can rebuild our locality and our country in the cause of family, community, and country.
