I moved to Highley 22 years ago, six months pregnant and feeling a bit lost after a childhood spent moving around. One day, I wandered into Cath’s Café for a bacon buttie to get out of the house—and everything changed. I met fantastic people and felt, for the first time, like I’d found my home.
This is where I raised my boys, made lifelong friends, and found the sense of belonging I’d always been searching for.
When Cllr Dave Tremellin had to step down, he asked me to stand. He said, “You’re the first person I thought of, and the smartest person I know—you’ve got the tenacity to get stuff done.” I had huge respect for Dave and the work he did for our village—and I’ll carry that same commitment forward.
I’ve served on the Parish Council, chaired the board at Highley Primary, and mentored young people with the Prince’s Trust. I’ve also led teams and delivered big projects in senior roles at BT and British Gas.
I’m not a career politician—I’m a mum, a neighbour, and someone who truly cares about Highley.
If elected, I’ll fight for:
• Safer roads
• Affordable housing
• Better GP access
• Reliable public transport
• Support for local young people
