Statement to voters

Wiltshire’s crises - soaring rents, unaffordable houses and corporate greed aren’t caused by migrants.

Full statement

Billionaires bleed us dry, hiking bills while hoarding homes and dodging taxes.

Now, private firms plaster our countryside with solar farms — pocketing profits while villages see no benefit. Green energy must serve communities, not shareholders! I’ll press for:

• No solar farms without public ownership: Wiltshire residents must benefit from OUR sunshine.

• Cheap energy for villages hosting Solar Farms – slash bills for those living alongside farms.

• Ban corporate land grabs: Prioritise solar on vacant industrial sites and roofs not fertile farmland.

Meanwhile, families can’t afford rents or mortgages. I’ll fight for council housebuilding and cap rents to keep communities together. Potholes across our roads cause dangerous and expensive expensive accidents. I’ll fight to get them fixed for the long term.

Labour offers yet more austerity. Reform is stoking division to promote billionaire interests. We need fight for people, not culture wars. A vote for me is a vote to:

• Fund schools and NHS by taxing wealth, not workers.

• Invest in green jobs – insulate homes, restore nature, and make energy public.

• Make solar farms support the community and clear up potholes!

Wiltshire’s land, water, and energy belong to its people—not profiteers. Let’s build a future for the many, not millionaires.
