Statement to voters

I love our city and it has been the honour of my life to serve as the MP for Leicester West.

Full statement

From backing our schools and hospitals to campaigning for decent jobs, homes and more police, I've always put local people first.

Every week people tell me about the struggles they face to pay the bills, get to work or even see their GP. It doesn't have to be this way. Labour has a plan to get our city and country growing again. We'll work with businesses to create good jobs that pay a decent wage, invest in our local NHS and schools, and recruit more police to make communities safe.

We need a Labour government to make the changes our city desperately needs and that is why I am again standing as the Labour candidate for Leicester West.
