Statement to voters
I am standing in Aldersgate Ward as I finally have time to contribute to the political life of our great City, having recently retired as an architect.
Full statement
An Aldersgate resident since 2022, City resident and business owner since 2010, a Londoner since 1985. I have contributed to Courts, Councils, and committees for most of this time – endlessly seeking balanced budgets, workable solutions, consensus, and progress. My project management skills will ensure that progress is made within budgets…. or to redefine projects. As has been said of me “Asks more questions than the rest of Council put together” 1
With your support, next will be: • Prepare for the extremes of Climate Change. • Retain our World-class financial centre for London and the UK. • Maintain or improve services for our residents and businesses, workers, and even for schoolchildren & visitors. • Champion our local arts centre, social, and sports facilities. • Encourage occupation of our empty retail spaces. • Support a more humane and beautiful built environment.
Now an Independent candidate (ex-Labour) as older and wiser and deeply suspicious of endlessly increased taxes and spending to deal with so many of our problems
