Statement to voters

**Parliamentary Statement by Johno Lee for Nottingham East** My name is Johno Lee, and I am honoured to stand as your Conservative candidate for Nottingham East in the upcoming parliamentary election.

Full statement

As a veteran who has overcome significant personal challenges, including losing a leg in Afghanistan, I understand the importance of resilience and community support. My dedication to service is demonstrated by raising approximately £500,000 for local veteran charities, youth clubs, and other community initiatives.

Judge me on my record: Over the past ten years in local government, I have worked tirelessly to improve our community. I have secured funding for playgrounds, protected our parks, planted 10,000 trees, and organised numerous community events. Notably, we saved Highfield Fire Station from losing appliances, ensuring the continued safety and security of our neighbourhoods.

Nationally, we face significant challenges that require strong, experienced leadership. I am committed to addressing these issues head-on. Our country needs policies that foster economic growth, create jobs, and ensure that our public services are fit for purpose. I will advocate for a balanced approach that combines fiscal responsibility with investments in healthcare, education, and infrastructure.

I believe that local issues should take precedence, and I am committed to ensuring that your voices are heard in Parliament. However, it is equally important to recognise the interplay between local and national policies. Decisions made at Westminster directly impact our daily lives, and I will work tirelessly to ensure that Nottingham East benefits from national initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for all citizens.

As your representative, I will strive to put Nottingham residents first, focusing on local needs before national policies. I will bring a strong, determined voice to Parliament, ensuring that Nottingham East plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of our nation. Your vote is crucial, and I am deeply grateful for your support in this election.

Thank you for your consideration.

Johno Lee
