I would like to introduce myself as the Conservative candidate for the Local Elections in May for the Tunbridge Wells West division, which includes Bidborough (where I live), Speldhurst, Langton Green, Ashurst, Groombridge, Rusthall and Culverden.

I have lived in this part of Kent for over 30 years.

I am a solicitor, working from home with my wife Tina. Our children attended school in Tonbridge. I have experience in Local Government, having been a Kent County Councillor before, which means that I know my way around KCC services.

I served in the Army (Regular and Reserve) and was until recently Commandant of Kent Army Cadet Force, which does great work with young people in Tunbridge Wells and across Kent. I was also KCC’s Armed Forces champion, helping to ensure that veterans, Armed Forces families and servicemen and women can access County services. During my time we led KCC to achieve the Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award, which meant real changes to the way the KCC worked for the Services Community.

If elected I will work for all residents of this area:
• to get value for our taxes out of the County Council.
• To minimise the damage being done by Labour to our economy.
• To hold the Liberal Democrat run Borough Council to account.
• To support the good work done by Parish Councils and to help any resident, whether they voted for me or not, when they have a problem with County services.
