Statement to voters
Steve Guy, Totteridge and Bowerdean Candidate for Wycombe Independents.
Full statement
Steve works for a large telecommunications company as a network planner. He is married and has lived in Wycombe for eighteen years.
Steve previously served as a Wycombe District Councillor for Totteridge from 2009 – 2011.
He championed causes like reopening Wycombe Rye Lido, stopping the redevelopment of Wycombe Air Park and making High Wycombe a Fair Trade Town.
As a councillor Steve was always hard working and always responded promptly to residents when they brought their concerns and ideas to him.
Steve says, “I think it is shocking how many people get elected as councillors and then fail to engage with residents and represent them properly. I love helping local residents and developing new projects based on their ideas.”
“I was honoured when Julia and the Wycombe Independents asked me to join their team. In a county which is dominated by the politicians from one party, it is so inspiring to see Wycombe Independents bucking the trend with local people working hard for their community.”
Steve adds, “I believe that this is a great area of High Wycombe, but by working together and involving residents we can make it even better. We have a great team of candidates in your area. I look forward to working with them and you for the things that you care about.”
