I’m Charles Fifield and I will be standing in the general election on Thursday 4th July as the Conservative Candidate for Mid Cheshire, which covers our 3 great salt towns of Northwich, Winsford and Middlewich.

I have lived and worked around Northwich my entire life. I was a Cheshire West Borough Councillor for 12 years. I am married and I have 3 children. I want what’s best for Mid Cheshire and this is how I want to achieve it:

We need to continue to improve our high streets and town centres – Winsford has benefited from almost £10million from the Conservative Government but Northwich and Middlewich need a boost too.

We need quicker journeys by road and rail – including more money for road repairs and pot holes – which impacts on people across Mid-Cheshire, families with children, older residents and disabled people like me.

We need to improve our infrastructure – a new bridge for Winnington and to start Middlewich’s eastern by-pass.

We all need to lead healthier lives. The Conservative Government has invested £14million in our local NHS, in the Victoria Infirmary in Northwich. I will support local initiatives to encourage more exercise to improve both physical and mental health.

We need more action on tackling crime and anti-social behaviour by working with our Police – Cheshire now has 322 more police officers and has the highest charge rate for crime in the country.

We need to continue to improve education for all – 90% of schools in England are now rated good or outstanding. This is up from 68% in 2010 but there is still work to be done, especially for those with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities.

That’s Our Plan for Mid Cheshire but I need your help to deliver it by voting for me on Thursday 4th July and if elected I promise to work hard to achieve this for you.
