I am a passionate individual and enjoy any challenge that I am given. Residents may remember that, with the support of the local community, I was able to change a brown field site at Pound Lane into a wonderful flower meadow for children and adults to enjoy. In 2011 the West ward elected me to the Thatcham Town Council. Three years later I was honoured to accept the role of Thatcham Town Mayor. I instigated the idea of having an apple orchard situated at the Thatcham lakes. I wanted our children to play a part in their community so it was my idea as Mayor to create the Mayors Community medal. Over two hundred children took part in the challenge to absorb knowledge of our community. As a thank you to those leaders that ran various charities in West Berkshire I decided to hold a ABBA night in the St Mary’s church. The vicar mentioned the church had never rocked as much as it did that night. I care very much about our local community, housing, adult social services. I am a solid Brexiteer and want to see our nation free of the European Union. I will work tirelessly for my community in West Thatcham.
