Statement to voters

I’m so excited to be Labour’s candidate to be the very first MP for the brand new Hitchin constituency.

Full statement

Last year I worked with people right across my community to deliver historic change in a by-election like no other.

It was the privilege of my life to become the MP for the area where I live.

With my home of Shefford becoming part of the all new Hitchin constituency, I’m excited to work with you all in Hitchin and the villages.

This year in Hitchin, all independent experts agree it’s going to be a straight choice between change with Labour, and the Conservatives.

I hope I can earn your trust and support to deliver the change Hitchin and our villages desperately need - and together let’s get things working again.
