An active member of Oxfordshire Green Party for over 10 years, Kate is passionate about building local communities through investing in community centres, community allotments, sports amenities, parks and green spaces; encouraging active travel and recycling.

Kate’s children go to the local Secondary school, and used to go to New Marston Primary School where she helped with the school library and gardening club. Kate is Chair of Marston Community Gardening, which runs projects to plant 100s of trees, sow wild meadows for biodiversity and develop community allotments for local food growing. Recently, she has worked in partnership with Northway Together to use fresh local food for a Community Kitchen to tackle food waste and the cost of living crisis. Kate has lived in Oxford for nearly 20 years, has been a secondary school teacher and currently works for Oxfordshire Libraries as a librarian.
