Statement to voters

As a local resident, I live and work in Datchet, Horton and Wraysbury for 11 years becoming part of your wonderful community.

Full statement

I am a local businessman, husband to Debbie, a father and a grandfather. I have been a business owner for over 40 years’ and I want to bring this entrepreneurial experience to the role of MP to grow the local and national economies while looking after your local needs in Parliament.

In 2020 myself and Debbie started the Datchet Corona Volunteers at the outbreak of the pandemic and showed how we are and continue to put our communities first. In May 2022, I became the Chairman of the Datchet Parish Council to start giving residents a voice in local matters and a place to bring local issues to. I work with members of both Horton and Wraysbury Parish councils on united matters like flooding, public transport and local volunteer and community groups.

After voting for the Conservative Party for over 30 years I could see that all party politics was broken and no longer represented me. Realising that to get real change, I decided, I had to ‘walk the walk’ so became an independent candidate under the umbrella of “the Borough first Independents” in the 2019 local elections. In early 2020 I became the Leader of The Borough First Independents to offer a real alternative to the party politics that has lost sight of local needs, the economy, and its core values.

The Conservative party can no longer be trusted with our public finances, and we have no where to take our local needs. So I wish to offer a place for your vote for positive change and to put you first.

There will be no excuses because I will represent you and push your needs forward. By supporting me with your vote, I will be able to get things done for you. Your elected representative should support you, work for you, and improve your local quality of life, while supporting the building of a strong growing economy to give ourselves and our loved ones the quality of life we require.

In the local elections in 2023/4 the Windsor constituency has seen locally elected Independents become the largest political movement and now we need to see this at a higher level by voting an Independent into Parliament. This will link the people to Parliament for Windsor for the first time in history. If you support me, I will make sure you are not forgotten again and you are not alone.

If you want a passionate, committed MP, who always has your back and works for you: ‘THE BUCK STOPS HERE!’
