Statement to voters

I have been working for our community for a decade.

Full statement

I'm a scientist, Project Manager, home retrofit and renewable energy expert, mother, dog owner, NHS volunteer. I have lived in Mole Valley for 20 years and raised my daughter here single handed. Primarily, I believe in fairness. I have first hand knowledge of what puts our community under pressure. Like inappropriate new housing meaning our sewage works overflow, lack of hospital, GP and dentist capacity, not to mention potholes. I have been at the forefront of fighting Green Belt house building -- going head to head with the KC awarded barrister of the year by The Bar. I have been representing our community at the Development Consent Order (expansion application) for Gatwick Airport expansion, ensuring the 5 Inspectors hear and consider the needs on residents. I have been working closely with water and river authorities -- exposing the dumping of raw sewage onto public areas. I have been a Parish Councillor for 8 years (I and now the chair) and have initiated a number of significant transport infrastructure projects that support my community and have initiated a Parish wide waterflow project to assess and mitigate against flood risk.
