She initially practiced as a Breast Cancer Physician at the prestigious Jarvis Centre, subsequently becoming a partner in General Practice, specialising in Women’s Health and Care of the Elderly.

Fiona also worked for the local GP ‘out of hours co-op’, improving support for the vulnerable, and was appointed to a vital and highly-responsible oversight role aAppraiser.

Her lifelong devotion for caring for the elderly and vulnerable has now led Fiona into frontline politics, not least to be a strong and clear voice for the many people ignored by the system.

A passionate campaigner, Fiona actively supports many charities and causes addressing global environmental issues, wildlife protection and animal welfare. She has recently completed her HNC in Agriculture at Scotland’s Rural College, in preparation for establishing a charitable care farm where young people can train in both care for the elderly and farming, vital complementary skills for the Highland economy and people.

Fiona’s other interests include the outdoors, cookery and art.
