Chris moved to Oxford in 2016, and has been active in the local community ever since.

He currently works as a press officer for an anti-privatisation campaigning group where he has successfully campaigned for publicly controlled transport and for the probation service to be brought back into public hands.
Before that, Chris worked at People & Planet, supporting students and trade unionists to campaign for workers’ rights and climate justice in their communities. He is also a journalist, covering politics and human rights. Chris is involved with the local student community having recently completed a masters degree at Oxford Brookes specialising in social movement history and has supported the youth climate strikes.
