Statement to voters

I am incredibly excited to have been selected by the local Labour Party to stand for the Rame Peninsula and St Germans division in this year’s Cornwall Council elections.

Full statement

I believe in strong communities and strong local representation – for too long we have been the forgotten corner of Cornwall, left behind by County Hall. I want all our communities that make up Rame and St Germans to be heard and listened to.

I grew up in South East Cornwall, the proud daughter of a Royal Navy Submariner and a local Primary school teacher. After finishing university in Plymouth, and a brief spell living in Cape Town, South Africa, my husband and I chose to move back here to raise our young family in the amazing community of Millbrook.

We love our community, and I am involved in several local initiatives, including running a parent and baby group, a baby clothing and equipment bank, and delivering meals for the wonderful Café Abundance. I also volunteer as a Parent Governor for Millbrook School and committee member for Kingfisher Preschool in Kingsand.

I will always put Rame & St Germans first!

Promoted by Alastair Tinto on behalf of Kate Ewert, both at Bridge View House, Providence Place, Calstock, Cornwall, PL18 9RW
