Statement to voters

The people of Rothley and Mountsorrel deserve a strong voice on Leicestershire County Council.

Full statement

We need someone who is fully committed, understands our area's needs and strengths and will work tirelessly to improve services infrastructure and the local economy. I am that person.
I'm a mum, a teacher and a regular volunteer. I've lived in the area for over 25 years. During that time I've been fully involved in village life, I've been chair of the school PSFA and trustee of several local charities, I became a parish councillor and was elected as a district councillor in 2023, I’m now the cabinet member for Communities and Neighbourhoods. I am also the chair of a large group which has been scrutinising Leicestershire County Council’s services, this has given me a very good understanding of what the council is doing (and not doing) and how to change it for the better.
This election is about choosing someone who understands our community someone with a plan someone who will fight for a better future for all of us I am ready to listen act and deliver with your support we can build a stronger fairer and more prosperous community.
