I am also concerned with the future of local businesses and our once wonderful shopping centre, Royal Victoria Place.

If elected as a borough councillor, I will work hard to:
• CREATE an environment that allows businesses to recover and grow post Covid.
• FIGHT for a more transparent council with proper scrutiny. It is YOUR money.
• FOCUS on the council's core responsibilities and deliver them efficiently and effectively.
• AVOID large risky development projects that are best handled by private developers.
• REVIEW the procurement process and the existing contracts for waste collection, sports & leisure and grounds maintenance.
• IMPROVE planning services and ensure a more transparent handling of planning issues.
• SUPPORT housing initiatives which aim to provide well designed and sustainable homes for local people.
• PUSH Kent County Council to improve road maintenance and safety.
