Statement to voters
I joined the Scottish Green Party after the independence referendum, and previously took part as a candidate in the local council elections.
Full statement
I, like many others, have been horrified to see the lack of progress on social, environmental and climate action from the Westminster government for the past 10+ years and wanted to ensure that voters in West Dunbartonshire have the option to Vote Green. With more people than ever facing conditions of poverty and inequality, nature continuing to be depleted and undervalued, and new oil and gas licences being issued, it’s time to up the pressure. I have worked for a national conservation organisation for almost 20 years. I strongly believe in a more inclusive and equal society, where we support our communities, and want to see more urgent actions taken to prevent climate catastrophe and nature breakdown, not just in our country but globally. Vote like your future depends on it.
